A KID IS CRYING...

 

A kid is crying.

Her chin trembles as she cries.

Clearly, no one picks her up…

To soothe her with kind words.

No one wipes her tears.

Only the cameraman notices her,

He notices and shares her state just as the other videos…

Her photo falls on our screen on Instagram.

While we're in our warm house, our phones in our hands,

She looks like an angel even though her hands and face are dusty.

 

Her story is written under the video

Bombs fell on the middle of their home,

Her mother embraced her, her father shielded her,

People came to assist her, to separate her from her family.

From the stiff bodies of her parents.

She is an orphan now.

But don't assume that she is alone. 

 

You are here!

You have seen, heard, witnessed this oppression.

Will you close your eyes now?

Why? Is it hard to look?

Will you plug your ears now?

Why? Don't you like what you hear?

Will you remain silent now?

Will you continue your wanderings by scrolling through videos?

Will you be able to laugh at a funny Reels video?

After seeing that kid's face, bloody and covered in dust?

Will you be able to kiss your own child's cheek? 

As long as you dont stop!

Don't ignore it!

Don't try to forget it!

Think!

Speak!

Share!

Just don't stop!

Don't desensitize yourself!

So that your heart won’t harden

So that when your child grows up he is not  ashamed of you.

"Really! Didn't you do anything?!"

 Just don't stop.

So that it is not you,

Your homeland's turn one day.
